The Earth the Air the Fire the Water

When I set out to record the album 'Elements' the most important thing that I wanted to represent was my deep love and respect for the world around us. My studies over the years within the Pagan community have taught me the necessity to maintain a sense of balance in life, just like the elements that work together to support every living thing. During the composing of the tracks, I spent a lot of time connecting with each element in turn, the feeling of the ground beneath my feet, the wind in my hair, the sun on my face and the rain that soaked me to the core as I watched the waves rolling on a stormy sea.

Even now whenever I listen to the album I'm taken back to those thoughts, the storm that was raging outside when I recorded the track 'Air' and the flames in the firepit that flicked and swayed like two figures locked in a dance to the end which are portrayed in the track 'Fire'. I learned a lot about myself during that time, as I experimented with different sounds and methods of recording, something that I hope is passed on to you the listener.
