How I see it.

For the past ten years, I have had the fortune to be surrounded by what I consider to be some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. From the great vastness of Dartmoor National Park to the front, to the rolling hills and valleys leading to the sea to my rear.

Devon sadly is often overlooked by the many people who rush through the county as they head towards the mystical land of Cornwall, some only stopping to rest momentarily or to refuel as they continue on their journey. However, if you take the time to wander away from the main road you will soon find yourself immersed in a place of quaint villages and market towns intermingled within miles and miles of lush countryside.

Dartmoor, for me personally, is a place where I feel most at home, a place where I can truly feel the pull of nature as I walk amongst the vast open spaces or climb the lofty heights and stand beside the granite tors.

When I wrote ‘Queen of the Moor’ I wanted to create a story that not only enabled the reader to connect with the characters but also with the landscape. So that one day just like Jules or Isabelle in the book, it might inspire people to undertake a journey for themselves and see the bigger picture.

Of course, everybody has a place which they hold close to their hearts, this is mine and I wanted to share it with you.
